Annie's
Attic
A full week residency. Annie's Attic is an extension of Lou Ann's skills
as a storyteller as she invites children t visit her in her attic. Surrounded
by quilts, teddy bears, dusty furniture, and an occasional mouse, students
listen to tales and learn to understand the importance of preserving
family history through the use of photographs and journals or diaries.
Students are encouraged to go back home and record their own history.
Annie also encourages children to begin keeping their own journal or
scrapbook to aid them in learning about and recovering this timeless
past-time. This is a unique experience that will always be remembered!

Theatre of the Aire
The Golden Age of Radio is brought back to life in a re-creation of
a staged live radio braodcast. The format will include live audience,
radio drama, sound effects, commercials and jingles, as well as songs
and music. The program involves a high degree of spontaneity and improvisation
with the help of audience interaction. In addition to the radio world,
the program will focus on American and regional historical events from
the period. This is perfomed by Lou Ann Homan and Bob Sander.
Ridin'
the Rails
Join Lou Ann as the past pulls into the station in the form of
stories, poems, and songs in Ridin' the Rails. Woven with the
lonely hiss of the engine and the hobo's campfire, you will travel
on the Wabash Cannonball, share stories in the jungle, and watch
for ghostly shadows through the tunnels and countryside! All aboard!
